He pursued his legal education at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and ranking fifth in his class. As a law student, Troy distinguished himself as the senior notes editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and held roles as a teaching and research assistant. His internship experiences with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the San Diego County Public Defender's Office, and various San Diego firms equipped him with valuable experience in both transactional and litigation settings.
Starting his career as a litigator, Troy later transitioned in-house with a commercial real estate brokerage firm in Southern California, focusing on complex commercial real estate transactions. Holding a real estate broker license, he is admitted to practice in California, Nevada, Washington State, and before the federal courts of the Southern District of California.
Troy's dedication extends beyond his professional pursuits. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, snowboarding, hiking, and spending quality moments with friends and family. His notable recognitions include being named a Rising Star by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers from 2020 to 2024 and receiving the Pro Bono Honors Award in 2013.
